Top Priority

Bernard

Ward 2 resident, husband, father, skilled tradesperson and Realtor. I grew up in Corktown and have spent most of my life in Ward 2. I’m running for Ward 2 Councillor in 2026.

Nearly 20 years in the skilled trades, including steel, refineries and nuclear. I progressed from mechanic and welder to supervisor and general foreman, managing crews and complex work.

Public safety and cleaner neighbourhoods: stronger enforcement of disorderly conduct, quicker cleanup of needles and garbage, and better coordination among police, by-law and health services.

Born and raised in Ward 2's North End — deep roots, family still here. Career in logistics management. Always wanted to give back to the community that shaped me.

Politically active since age 12. Served on Hamilton's Status of Women Sub-Committee and helped found the Mayor's Race Relations Committee. Background in fiscal accountability and logistics leadership.

Safer Streets: work with police, not against them. Expand 24/7 mental health crisis response so people get help, not a criminal record — and stop losing experienced officers to other forces.
